Participants will compete in their respective age divisions, showcasing their vocal talent, stage presence, and artistry in front of a live audience. Each performer will have the chance to stand out and advance, all for the opportunity to take home cash prizes and ultimate bragging rights.
This year’s competition will be judged by special celebrity guests Natalie Weiss and Ben Fankhauser, bringing their professional insight and industry expertise to the panel.

Join us during OMTI’s Second Annual Vocal Showdown for an exciting vocal workshop led by Broadway performers Natalie Weiss (Broadway: Everyday Rapture, Dear Evan Hansen, Off-Broadway:Emojiland, National Tour: Les Misérables, Wicked, Film/TV: Dear Evan Hansen (film), 90th Academy Awards) and Ben Fankhauser (Broadway: Newsies, Film/TV:Newsies: The Broadway Musical, FBI: Most Wanted, The Deuce, Submissions Only).
Participants will have the opportunity to observe professional-level coaching, gain valuable audition and performance insights, and learn techniques to elevate their vocal storytelling, stage presence, and overall performance skills. In addition to the wokrshop, Ben and Natalie will also perform a duet at the end!
Observer Registration: $75
Anyone may attend as an observer to watch the workshop, learn from the coaching process, and gain insight into what industry professionals look for in performers.
Performance Opportunities:
Interested in performing in the workshop? Submit a vocal reel, headshot, and resume to info@omticolumbus.org for consideration. Selected performers will receive individualized coaching during the workshop and will be sent instructions to pay the additional $75 performer fee (total cost: $150).
The workshop will conclude with an exclusive 15-minute Talkback & Q&A Session with Natalie and Ben, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions about Broadway, auditions, training, career paths, and life in the industry.
